What types of transfer services can you book through Taxi4Crete.gr?

At Taxi4Crete.gr, we provide private taxi and minibus transfer services. These services are exclusive to you, ensuring that you won’t share the vehicle with other passengers. Whether it’s a single transfer, an excursion, or a reservation, you’ll be the sole customer in the vehicle. Our commitment is to offer quality transportation throughout Chania and Crete, making your journey safe, reliable, and comfortable. Book with us and let your holiday begin and end with a smile!

Types and Availability of Vehicles

We offer two types of vehicles to meet your transportation needs:

  • Taxis: These can comfortably accommodate up to four passengers along with a reasonable amount of luggage for each traveler. Whether you’re traveling solo or with a small group, our taxis are a convenient choice.
  • Minibuses: Ideal for larger groups of more than four people, minibuses provide ample space for both passengers and their luggage. If you’re traveling with family or friends, our minibuses are a great option.Upon confirmation of your booking, we take responsibility for providing the appropriate vehicle based on the number of passengers in your group. However, unforeseen circumstances such as mechanical failures or delays from previous transfers may occasionally impact our ability to provide the initially selected vehicle type. In such cases, rest assured that we will promptly offer an alternative without any additional cost. For instance, if you’ve reserved a minibus for six passengers and we’re unable to provide one at that moment, we’ll arrange two taxis for you at the same price as the minibus

Luggage Capacity

  • Taxis: Typically, a taxi can accommodate up to four medium-sized suitcases or three large-sized suitcases, depending on the shape and type of luggage. If you’re traveling light, our taxis are well-suited for your needs.
  • Minibuses: Minibuses also have sufficient space for luggage, ensuring a comfortable journey for all passengers. However, if you have unusually large or bulky items (such as multiple large suitcases, baby strollers, wheelchairs, or mobility aids), please inform us in advance. This allows us to allocate a vehicle with the largest possible trunk space to accommodate your belongings.

Important Note: If your luggage exceeds the capacity of a single vehicle, we may arrange a second taxi immediately, at your expense. Your comfort and convenience are our top priorities, and we strive to make your journey hassle-free

Is there a cost for making a reservation?

Making a reservation with taxi4crete.gr is completely free. This ensures a hassle-free booking as no prepayments are required.

 

If needed, you can easily cancel your reservation without any refund or cancellation fees. All you have to do is let us know ahead of time that you no longer require the trasnfer.

How are transfer prices determined?

Our pricelists (or the quotes you receive for other transfers) are based on one-way transfers using either a taxi or a minibus. These prices are not per person, but rather for the entire group traveling in the vehicle. The pricing depends on the distance covered. Rest assured that the prices we provide are final and all-inclusive, covering charges such as VAT and other fees. There won’t be any additional charges beyond this amount.

Can I tip the driver?

Certainly! Tipping the driver is entirely at your discretion. If you’re satisfied with the service, feel free to show your appreciation.

What payment methods are available?

Taxi transfers

Both cash or card payments are accepted in taxis. On pickup, please inform the driver about how you intent to pay at the end of the transfer.

 

Although taxis are equipped with mobile card terminals (or mobile apps in the driver’s cellphone) to receive card payments, we strongly recommend to always have a small amount of cash on you as in some are areas the payment can not be processed due to weak or disrupted GSM signal that these mobile terminals are requiring.

MiniVAN and MiniBUS transfers

At the moment, it has to be a cash payment as just a few of the MiniVANs & MiniBUSes of our partners are equipped with mobile card payment terminals.

Nevertheless, you can always ask the driver if he/she can accept a card* payment if you want to pay by card.

How can I make a reservation?

You have two options for making a reservation:

  • Online: We recommend using our booking form on our website. It captures all the essential details, and both parties will have a written record of the reservation.
  • Phone Call/Text Message: If you prefer, you can also make a reservation by contacting us directly.

When should I make my taxi reservation?

The earlier you make your reservation, the better. This allows us to respond promptly and maintain the quality of our services. Remember that cancelling or amending reservations is free of charge.

What if I need a last-minute reservation?

While we’ll do our best to accommodate last-minute requests, keep in mind that we might not always have sufficient time to arrange everything. We appreciate your understanding.

Why do I need confirmation for my reservation?

  • Each reservation request submitted via email must be confirmed by our team before it becomes active. We intentionally avoid using an automated instant confirmation system to prevent misunderstandings and to ensure that essential reservation details are complete.
  • How long does the confirmation process take? We manually review all reservation details and aim to provide confirmation as soon as possible, typically within an hour.

Arrival and Departure Airport Transfers

How to choose the pick up times for your transfer

  • For your Arrival transfer from the airport:   What we need to know is the Scheduled Arrival Time of your flight, so fill-in this time on the “Pickup Time” field of our reservation form. Also, it is essential to know the Flight Number of your Arrival Flight (to keep track of the real landing time in case of delays, etc).
  • For your Departure transfer to the airport:   That is entirely up to you to decide but if you need our suggestion, this is how we would estimate it:”Departure Flight’s time minus 2 hours minus the driving time needed from the pickup point area to the Airport equals the Pickup Time”For example your flight departs from Chania airport at 22:00pm and you are staying in Agia Marina: 22:00pm – 2 hours – 35 minutes = 19:25pm Pickup time. By that, you will be at the airport when the check-in of your flight would open (International Flights require 2 hours, Domestic Flights only 1 hour).
  • In case of a flight delay (arrival flight) or a delay on the delivering of your luggage
    No extra charge will be applied. You are not responsible for that kind of delays; you are not going to pay more because of them.

Arrival Transfer: Meeting with the Driver

Your driver will be waiting for you at the designated meeting point in the arrival hall of the airport. This meeting point is located immediately after you exit the Luggage Claiming Hall. Look for a signboard with your name on it (or possibly displaying our company logo). The driver will greet you, assist with your luggage, and escort you to the waiting vehicle.

If you arrive by ferry or cruise ship, the driver will be right outside the Passengers’ Exit of the ferry-boat or cruise ship.

During the Transfer

  • Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited by law due to safety and health hazards. Please refrain from smoking during the transfer.
  • Rest Stops: On longer trips, we can make a couple of 5-minute stops for your comfort.
  • Eating and Drinking: While it’s acceptable to drink water or a refreshment in the car, we recommend avoiding messy foods like ice cream that may melt and create a mess, especially on warm days (38°C or higher).
