This shore excursion is tailor-made specifically for a cruise ship visitor of Chania area or anyone that is visiting Chania for only one day.
It presents all the highlights of Chania area such as the Old Venetian city of Chania city as well as other significant archaeological and historical sites outside of Chania city (Ancient Aptera, the Holy Trinity Monastery, Venizelos Graves site), through a selective route where you would be able to enjoy the natural beauty of Chania prefecture.
In Chania city, with some selective stops (and some necessary walking), you will be able to visit all the major points of Chania city (the Marketplace, the walls, the main “square” of the Old Venetian harbour with the Lighthouse, the Hassan Pasha Mosque, the Hebrew Synagogue, etc).
The rural area around the city of Chania is holding a treasure of history, revealing in the same time the beauty of the landscape. The tour would allow you to visit the Ancient Aptera site (the most significant archaeological site of Chania prefecture), the Holy Trinity Monastery (definitely worth a visit), as well as the Venizelos Graves site, where the view of Chania Bay is unique.
